President Hage Geingob and First Lady, Monica Geingos arrived in the United Kingdom (UK) ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of State and Government Meeting (CHOGM) in London on Thursday. The President is set to meet the Duke of Cambridge (Prince William) on Wednesday. Namibia’s High Commissioner to the UK and Northern Ireland, Steve Katjiuanjo, told NBC News that “it will be a one-on-one meeting” without divulging further details. According to Katjiuanjo, Namibia has made strides in areas such as election monitoring and good governance practices and is ready to share experiences with other Commonwealth member states.
