The Namibian fuel market is to phase out 500 particles per million (PPM) sulfur diesel by 1 January 2019. The ministry notes an increase in demand for low sulfur diesel, known as ’10 sulfur diesel ppm’, due to newer vehicle models available in the market. As a result Namibia is to introduce the 10 sulfur diesel PPM on 1 January next year.
