The United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), currently meeting at the coast, is an international organisation representing 350 million Africans, who live in 2 000 cities across the continent. Among the issues the meeting will discuss are; UCLG’s involvement in capacity building of member associations and their agenda to improve service. Namibia is among the top three countries in Africa that has implemented the African Charter on decentralisation and local governance.
