The Kavango East Region made strides in infrastructure development and poverty reduction during the 2016/2017 financial year. Governor Samuel Mbambo says public infrastructure was the bedrock of socio-economic development. The Kavango East region received 241-million budget allocations for capital projects for the last financial year, which Mbambo says was money well spent. Several government ministries and agencies have completed the construction of their headquarters including that of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.
