The annual Ovambanderu commemorations of the late Chief Hijakungairi Nguvauva will officially take place at Okahandja on Sunday. The event kicked off on Friday with the arrival of different delegates and commencement of traditional rituals and dances. Founding President Sam Nujoma and Ovambanderu Chief Kilus Nguvauva are expected to address the gathering. Head of the Ovambanderu in the Botibeng District in Botswana Nguvauva Nguvauva will also attend the gathering and is expected to deliver the vote of thanks.
