President Hage Geingob has expressed condolences to the family of the late South African ambassador Billy Modise. The African National Congress’ (ANC) struggle stalwart died on Wednesday evening. Modise served as the Assistant Director at the United Nations Institute for Namibia in Lusaka, Zambia under President Geingob. The Head of State described the late Modise as a friend of the Namibian people, who always performed his duties diligently. Geingob says South Africa has lost an outstanding servant and diplomat whose contribution to the struggle for freedom was felt beyond that country’s borders.
