The Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) has agreed to meet with the Namibia National Students Organisation (NANSO) on Thursday, to discuss their financial demands. NANSO Regional Secretary for Khomas, Shoki Kandjimi confirmed to Nampa that they received communication from the NSFAF, requesting a meeting. Kandjimi told NAMPA they will attend the meeting and see how different it will be from the previous meetings, before determining the way forward. During a media conference last Friday, Nanso Vice-President Bernhard Kavau said if NSFAF fails to comply, the student body will shut down NSFAF headquarters come 4 July. The students want NSFAF to settle all the students’ outstanding non-tuition fees from last year, all the students’ tuition fees, and half the non-tuition fees for this year. NANSO ordered NSFAF last Friday to meet their demands by Monday.
