The Namibian Police Force has temporarily withdrawn the criminal charges against the six leaders of the Caprivi Concerned Group in the Zambezi Region. The withdrawal was done to allow sufficient time for investigation without unnecessarily impeding on the rights of the accused persons. The six men were arrested at Liselo Village in the Zambezi Region and faced charges of sedition, failing to obey law enforcement orders and inciting public violence through an illegal meeting. NamPol assured the public that they will not relent in carrying out their mandate of maintaining law and order and the preservation of the internal security of the Republic of Namibia.
