Regional consultations in preparation for the Second National Land Conference for Khomas are underway in Windhoek. The two-day meeting aims to solicit input from the Khomas regions from different demographic groupings, communities and political establishments into the agenda of the upcoming conference. Khomas Governor Laura McLeod-Katjirua called for open participation by all residents to contribute to the success of the land conference. Mcleod-Katjirua says the land is a critical component in addressing past social injustices and improving the economic well being of the citizens hence the need for thorough management and distribution. The Governor added that in order to expedite land reform and its redistribution, there is a need to find out what has worked and what has not before coming up with resolutions.
