Speaking in the National Assembly this afternoon, Land Reform Minister Uutoni Nujoma said government agreed to lease the four farms – measuring 17 385 hectares, to a Russian company – due to the massive developmental and economic potential, for the country. Giving a Ministerial Statement in the National Assembly, Utoni Nujoma says government had initially refused to allow the company to buy the farms but then agreed to lease them out for a period of 99 years.
