The Ongwediva Police Station has relaunched its Police Public Relations Committee in the Oshana Region This will ensure that the public is actively involved in the fight against crime. The committee is expected to contribute to the fight against crime not only in Ongwediva but in the entire region. It will consist of about 60 members and will be chaired by a prominent member of the public from across all sectors of society. The Police Public Relations Committee will be entrusted with fostering a strong relationship between the community and the police in fighting crime both in their immediate area and in the region.
