20-Year-old Gaven Gawanab, who is accused of mutilating and raping an eight-year-old girl, made his first appearance in the Katutura Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. Magistrate Johannes Shuuveni denied him bail and he will be remanded in custody at the Otjomuise Police Station holding cells.
