A decline in Southern African Customs Union (SACU) receipts remains a thorn in the flesh of the already bleeding Namibian economy. SACU revenue has been the main funder of Namibia’s budget for years. Finance Minister Calle Schlettwein highlighted some of the measures government is planning to interrogate alternative revenue streams.
