Otjituuo will soon be recognised as a community forest. A Community Forest is an area in the communal land for which local communities obtain the rights to manage forests, woodlands and other types of natural resources. While waiting for the gazzeting, the community already has an integrated forest management plan in place that will guide the how to manage forest activities.
