The Environment and Tourism Ministry has suspended the issuing of forestry permits for the harvesting, transporting, marketing and exporting of timber. Environmental Commissioner Teofilus Nghitila described the harvesting of timber in the Zambezi and two Kavango regions as unsustainable.
