The Inspector-General of the Namibian Police is proposing that tribalism be declared a national security threat. Sebastian Ndeitunga says the adverse effects of tribalism are irreversible and could endanger the lives of citizens. Lieutenant-General Ndeitunga made the proposal in response to President Hage Geingob’s plea that tribalism, favouritism and nepotism not be a factor for promoting Police Officers.
