An automated dispensing system, also known as ‘The Robot’, is up and running at the Lady Pohamba Private Hospital to provide computer-controlled storage, dispensing, and tracking of medication. Gone are the days of long queues at pharmacies and inaccuracy with regards to medical prescriptions. Tecnyfarma Namibia Managing Director Elwin Burger stressed that ‘The Robot’ will resolve many issues currently faced in the Health Sector which include, among others, theft as well as efficient service delivery.
