Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration will soon launch an electronic way to ensure that new born babies are registered for birth certificates, with the Electronic Birth Notification System, immediately following delivery. The new E-Birth Notification system involves electronic notification to the ‘National Population Registration System’ -or NPRS, as soon as a birth occurs. The process is to be done by the nurse facilitating the delivery.
