The Landless Peoples’ Movement has rejected an apology issued by Lutheran Churches in Namibia on genocide and land dispossession. The Landless Peoples’ Movement says it is aware of the role played by missionaries during the colonial dispossession in Namibia and its silence about the genocide. The LPM says it is incomprehensible that black church leaders and representatives of neo-colonial global Lutheran church movements cannot realise that imperialism and colonialism impacted heavily on Namibia which led to genocide and land dispossession.
