The Ministry of Environment and Tourism has ruled out legalising trade in rhino horns and elephant tusk to fight poaching of these endangered species. The Ministry’s spokesperson, Romeo Muyunda, says that the 1975 Nature Conservation Ordinance Act, which governs Namibian wildlife, outlaws trade in the rhino horns and tusks of the endangered species.
