A group of 13 Namibian Police Officers (four males and nine females) have arrived back home after two-and-a-half years in Sudan. The officers were part the United Nations Africa Mission In Darfur (UNAMID). NAMOPL’s Head of Operations, Major General Desiderius Shilunga, who received the group on behalf of Police Inspector, General Sebastian Ndeitunga, expressed pride in the officers for executing their mandate. Shilunga said no negative incidents were reported about the conduct of the officers and that they were good Ambassadors for Namibia. The officers, who will now return to their duty stations, described their stay as a rewarding experience.
