Swapo’s Erongo regional leadership and congress delegates endorsed President Hage Geingob and his team; Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Sophia Shaningwa and Marco Hausiku for the sixth congress of the ruling party. Regional coordinator, Daniel Muhuura said the region wants the legacy and tradition of the party to continue and that President Geingob must be given a chance to lead the party for a full term. Muhuura revealed that 20 out of the 23 members of the regional executive committee voted in favour of the President and his team. Thirty-eight delegates from Erongo region will attend the Congress, scheduled for 23 to 26 November, in Windhoek.
