Boxer Wilberforce Shihepo is yet to launch a formal bail application at the Okahandja Magistrate’s court. Shihepo was denied bail last week, after appearing in court on charges of culpable homicide, fleeing a crime scene and failing to report an accident to the police. Two people, 53-year-old Lickius Petrus and five-year-old Toivo Linda died after being hit by Shihepo, allegedly at great speed. His case will continue in court on 27 November, pending further police investigation. Armas Shivute of Salute Boxing Academy has told NBC Sports that the boxing stable is trying to approach the situation with care, because lives were lost. According to sources, Shihepo stated in the police report that his car had been stolen, though he had failed to report it. This seems to suggest he did not want to be associated with the incident where the loss of life occurred and his vehicle was found
