Jenelly Matundu is the youngest member of the Swapo Party Central Committee. The 35-year-old from Opuwo obtained 318 votes during the elective congress and achieved position number 36 on the female list. She is one of the six presidential nominees to the CC. Matundu served as a section leader of Matutura Branch in Opuwo in 2003 and later as a branch coordinator. From 2012 until July this year, she served as the Swapo Party District Secretary, Opuwo Urban District. Matundu could not hide her excitement at the first CC meeting, held under the presidency of Hage Geingob, on Saturday morning. She also commended the newly elected party president for his trust in youth. She says she is looking forward to learn and work hard.
