A combination of factors have led to the fuel price going up again, this week. Ministry of Mines and Energy has issued a statement on Friday, announcing the 50 cents per litre increase, effective from Wednesday. In the statement, Energy Minister Obed Kandjoze explained oil producing countries of the world had struck an agreement to cut the supply of oil in the global market, to control its price internationally. This was after oil prices crumbled last year, making it difficult for producers to earn substantial returns on their investments.
