On Friday and Saturday, nine drivers were arrested at Walvis Bay and Swakopmund for drunk driving. These operations are aimed at reducing road accidents in the entire region, especially during Christmas, Easter and New Year celebrations at Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. The drivers are aged between 23 and 58 and are expected to appear in court on Monday. The operations kicked off slowly here in September when eight drivers were arrested, charged and fined by the court.
