The Namibia National Farmers Union (NNFU) is calling for a review and repealing of old laws, relating to the agriculture sector, to help address contemporary challenges. Most of the Namibian laws are inherited from the colonial era and have never been updated to fit a free and independent Namibia. It is therefore believed that such legislation do not address past injustices but rather still favours the previously advantaged Namibians.
