The Government has resolved to comply with a Supreme Court order to issue a birth certificate to a child born to non-permanent residents of Namibia. In June, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration was ordered by the Supreme Court to issue a birth certificate to a child born to a Dutch couple in the country on employment permits within 30 days.
