The body of a construction worker has been found in the bush of the Rocky Crest residential area in Windhoek. The worker was reported missing to the Namibian Police last Friday. City Police Spokesperson, Cillie Auala confirmed to Nampa that the body of a 21-year-old construction worker was found on Thursday. Assistant Superintendent Auala said some of his colleagues building flats at Rocky Crest said the deceased allegedly vanished on Friday, shortly after receiving his salary at the site. He was found stabbed in the chest and early police investigations indicate that an unknown person or persons might have ambushed the victim, knowing construction workers would be paid that day. The perpetrators then allegedly dumped the body in the bushy area where passersby discovered it. Members of NamPol’s Serious Crime and Scene of Crime Units are combing the area for leads to the arrest of a suspect or suspects in the case.
