A woman who was reported missing eight days ago at Outjo in the Kunene region, was found dead in a riverbed outside the Etoshapoort township. Kleintjie Goeieman was identified by her relatives, based on the clothes she was wearing at the time she went missing. Nampa reports that the 46-year-old Goeieman had gone to attend a Sunday church service, but never returned home. Otjozondjupa Spokesperson, Maureen Mbeha said, Goeieman had gone missing on the 31st of last month, but was only reported missing to the Outjo Police four days later. Warrant-Officer Mbeha said the police conducted an intensive search for her in and around Outjo, together with some community members, but did not find her. She explained two-days ago, some Outjo municipal officials, who were fixing a sewer line between Etoshapoort and a local lodge, discovered the partially decomposed body in a riverbed. The nature and circumstances of her death are still unknown.
