It remains pivotal that companies involved in large-scale mining invest and develop areas in which their operations take place. President Hage Geingob says such investments will ensure that communities are not left worse- off even after mining operations cease. Dr Geingob therefore commended the Rossing Uranium Mine, which marked 40 years of mining, for being a leader in that regard.
