Industrialisation, Trade and SME Development Minister Immanuel Ngatjizeko says with the volatile global economic situation, Namibia wants to prove its ideal position to offer investors better investment returns. Ngatjizeko made the remark in his welcoming address at the Invest in Namibia International Conference in the capital today. The meeting is held under the theme – Promoting Investment for Inclusive Growth and Industrialisation. He said despite Namibia’s economic growth being affected by the drought and economic crises around the world, investors cannot afford to miss the opportunities that Namibia offers. President Hage Geingob addressed delegates this morning on the country’s progress and achievements in its economy and social progress. Regarding the debt to Gross Domestic Product ceiling, Dr Geingob said the full scale war against poverty declared by the Government and logistic services and investment opportunities exist between Namibia and its neighbours. At least 1 000 delegates from business chambers, foreign investors, local companies and trade ministers from different countries are attending.
