First Lady Monica Geingos has appointed experts from all walks of life to serve in her advisory council. The council consists of both local and international experts in fields such as science, law, education and health. It will serve under the Office of the First Lady on voluntary basis to combat social issues affecting Namibia. Geingos said her office, through the Council, will work closely with the Correctional Services to facilitate and implement programmes of effective rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners. She said this is part of her strategies to address social ills in Namibia. It is for this reason that a partnership agreement between the Office of the First Lady and the Correctional Services was signed in the capital on Thursday.
