Omusati Governor Erginus Endjala says despite Namibia having good infrastructure in place, the nation is not productive enough. He said this whilst officiating at the launch of the first-ever Ruacana Youth Exposition at the town in the Kunene region over the weekend. Endjala attributed the low production to laziness and lengthy hours people spend at cuca shops, abusing alcohol. He called on those at cuca shops who just drink to stop doing so, warning that a drunken nation will never prosper. The governor said it seems that the only thing Namibians of today are good at is committing gender-based violence. Endjala suggested that 5% of Namibians should strive to be millionaires by 2030. He wants young people to work harder than ever before to become successful entrepreneurs and help the nation prosper. He wants the nation to support young, talented, hard-working and determined youth to realise their dreams. He commended organisers of the Ruacana Youth Expo, saying they have created a platform where young people could expose their talents or entrepreneurship. The expo is scheduled to take place from the second to fourth of next month. Its official launch on Saturday evening coincided with a fund-raising gala dinner, which raised 48 000 dollars.
