Lawyer Sisa Namandje has rubbished allegations implicating him in a billion-dollar corruption scandal filed with the Law Society of Namibia (LSN).
Joseph Nakalemo filed a complaint against Namandje, asking the LSN to investigate, suspend, and take disciplinary action against him.
According to Nakalemo’s complaint, Namandje is allegedly involved in multiple criminal and civil cases, spanning various legal jurisdictions.
Namandje was unfazed, dismissing the allegations as “outright nonsense.”
He labelled Nkalemo as someone with a history of making wild and unfounded allegations against lawyers, judges, and other prominent people.
“I mean, I do not need a doctor’s report; I can see the guy is delusional; the guy is mentally unstable; I am old enough to know who is well and who is not well mentally. So, he is not well. The media, on the other hand, is selling this as a big story. Those with bad ideas, the usual gossipers on WhatsApp, are circulating this document.”
Namandje said there is no truth in the allegations made by Nakalemo.
He said he will, however, allow the Law Society of Namibia to do their job, though he is confident that the matter will die even before the envelope is opened.
He said, “I won’t respond, but I’ll let them finish their work; his complaint will be dismissed at the door.”
Namandje also had a word of caution for what he termed Facebook judges and those who are quick to pass judgement without gathering facts.
“And I want to make it clear, this trend of people on WhatsApp groups, the hangmen, the executioners hanging others, allegations without facts, they are the judges, they are the investigators, so these new revolutionaries, priding themselves as mothers and fathers of morality, they are out of order.”
