The Veterinary Cordon Fence (VCF) known as the ‘Redline’ was created as a disease control mechanism, to protect Namibia’s beef exporting industry from diseases, such as foot-and-mouth. However, a small pocket of farmers north of the communal fence feel there is no vindication to the decision taken long ago.
