Windhoek Magistrate Celma Amadhila has postponed, to 17 April, the case in which Carolina Nkata and Rachael Kureva stand accused of beating to death and burning the body of a nine-year-old girl in Windhoek. They were remanded in custody, while the third accused is yet to be added to the charge sheet as he is receiving treatment in hospital after he sustained injuries in a car accident after his arrest. The charred body of the girl was found dumped in a municipal refuse bin. Caroline Nkata, told the court that although she witnessed the murder, she was forced to witness it, and therefore pleaded not guilty. She also said she will conduct her own defence. Rachel Kureva did not enter any plea and informed the court that she will engage private legal representation.
