The visiting President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Gabriela Barron has urged the Government to approach the United Nations (UN) to assist in developing a unique model to fight gender-based violence (GBV). Barron says violence against women and children is a global phenomenon which is not unique to any country.
