The Namibian Ports Authority (NAMPORT) says it has no authority to monitor foreign fishing vessels, as they are licensed and monitored by the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources. NAMPORT was responding to recent media reports regarding the disappearance of the two Samherji-linked fishing vessels from Walvis Bay.
