February 13 marks yet another edition of the annual World Radio Day. UNESCO’s representative in Namibia Djaffar Moussa-Elkadhum spoke to NBC’s Good Morning Namibia. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) declared the theme as ‘Radio and Diversity’. Radio is a powerful medium for celebrating humanity in all its diversity and the 9th edition of the day will focus on advocating for pluralism in radio, including a mix of public, private and community broadcasters as well as encouraging representation in the newsroom.
