State House has described the editorial of today’s Namibian Sun as “misleading and undermines the message of unity” by President Hage Geingob. In its editor’s corner, under the heading, “Is Geingob overly scrutinised”, the paper says, the President’s visit to Ondonga Omukwaniilwa Fillemon Shuumba Nangolo sparked another wave of criticism at him. The daily newspaper quoted some views expressed on social media to back up its editorial. Press Secretary, Dr Alfredo Hengari stated that the editorial created the impression that Geingob accords preference to certain traditional authorities only. However, Hengari, in a statement said these were opinions on issues of the day and far from the President’s message on nation building and social cohesion consistently shared with all traditional authorities without fear of favour.
