The water level in the newly constructed Neckartal Dam in the //Kharas Region on Wednesday morning stood at 76,5 million cubic metres. Information provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry to NAMPA on Wednesday said at about 08h30, the water level stood at 8,9% compared to 5,25% recorded last Wednesday. The ministry said last Wednesday the water level was 44,9 million cubic metres, which shows an inflow increase of 31,6 million cubic meters. Neckartal Dam is located in the Berseba Constituency and is the largest water storage dam in Namibia with a carrying capacity of about 960 million cubic metres, three times the size of Hardap Dam near Mariental in the Hardap Region. -NAMPA
