Defence Minister Penda YaNdakolo says the deployment of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) on the streets was in line with a Cabinet decision and was not a unilateral decision. The minister was responding to questions by the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) member of Parliament, Nico Smit who alleged that the Minister of Safety and Security, Charles Namoloh was quoted in the media saying the deployment of the NDF in the streets was unilaterally done without his knowledge and that of Cabinet.
