Kalkfeld Primary School polling station seems to be the busiest since the opening of the polls in the Otjiwarongo Constituency by-election this morning. By 10h00, over 70 people have cast votes there and the numbers are expected to increase by lunchtime. According to presiding officer Japhet Hilifilwa, when they opened at 07h00, there was no queue. Farm owners started bringing in their workers shortly after 08h00. Orpa Muninigirua, 73-year-old Kalkfeld settlement resident said the voting process was beautiful as she was assisted by polling officials, who she described as kind and patient with elderly people like herself.
