The World Health Organisation (WHO) today announced it has declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic. There are now over 118 000 cases of the virus confirmed, in 114 countries. The organisation says it has been assessing the outbreak around the clock, and are deeply concerned, both by the alarming levels of spread and severity and the alarming levels of inaction in bringing it under control.
