There was drama at the public hearing when the management of the Namibia Veterans Association Fund appeared before a Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts. It came to light, that those in charge of the finances of the association have no financial background, apart from military training. The Veterans’ Association appeared before the committee, on an adverse audit opinion from the Auditor-General for the financial year 2011 to 2017.
