The Bank of Namibia(BoN) has announced that Deputy Governor Ebson Uanguta will take charge of operations at the bank, in conjunction with the board The decision was necessitated by the appointment of the former Governor, Iipumbu Shiimi as Finance Minister. He will lead the bank until President Geingob appoints a substantive Governor as provided for by law. The Bank of Namibia, in a media statement, thanked the outgoing Governor for his stewardship and exemplary leadership at the helm of the institution over the past 10 years.
