The Ministry of Finance has announced the delay of the 2020/2021 Appropriation Bill (National budget). The delay is due to the state of emergency declared by the president, as a measure to curb COVID-19. The measure relating to the limitation of gathering to a threshold of 10 or less persons contributed to the delay. The National Assembly has been adjourned until further notice. To ensure that government services are not interrupted, the finance minister will apply state finance Act, which provides for a continuation authorisation procedures.
