About 40 employees of the City of Windhoek’s Solid Waste Division staged a demonstration in protest over the lack of safety equipment. The employees accused management of failing to provide them with gloves and face masks, while expected to carry out their duties such as emptying dust-bins, sweeping streets as well as other unhygienic work.
