The Minister of Information Communication and Technology (MICT), Dr Peya Mushelenga officially launched the COVID-19 communication centre at the Khomas Regional Office today. Mushelenga said it was important for information dissemination to be effective to avoid disinformation. Also at the occasion, Health and Social Services Minister, Dr Kalumbi Shangula gave an update on the current confirmed cases, which now stand at 14. However, Shangula confirmed that the 14th case is a contact of one of the cases. All cases are in isolation and being monitored. He called all Namibians to remain where they are to control the spread. He added that ignoring the lockdown will defeat the purpose of the lockdown.
